The JET Programme is now hiring

The Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme

Now recruiting for 2007 - 2008

Join us as one of thousands of dynamic, professional and dedicated assistant language teachers (ALTs) working in public schools throughout Japan! One-year contracts, run from July 2007 to July 2008, with an annual salary of 3,600,000 yen.

Minimum qualifications for Canadian citizens are:

1) Hold a Bachelor's Degree from an AUCC-member institution (see www.aucc.ca for a list of members) by July 2007.
2) Have an excellent command of English.
3) Be under the age of 40 by April 1, 2007

Non-Canadian Citizens please consult www.jetprogramme.org to see if your country is a participating member of the JET Programme.

Candidates with JLPT Level 2 or higher in Japanese are invited to apply as Coordinators for International Relations (CIRs) in local government offices.
